Scavenger Hunt Software Creator Launches Public Riddle Contest

Highland, UT (PRWEB) September 26, 2007 -- Living Tree Software (www.livingtreesoftware.com), creator of Riddle Me - a scavenger hunt software game that uses a series of riddles and clues that must be solved - has opened a riddle contest to the public.

"We wanted to do this to get the public involved with the game that we've created. Now the public can play an active part in the development of the game," said Living Tree Software's President, Oak Norton. It's also a lot more beneficial to the contest participants. While focus groups and surveys are often voluntary with little, if any, reward, the creators of Riddle Me are giving away several prizes to those who come up with the best scavenger hunt riddles. Prizes include Amazon.com gift certificates and various consumer electronics; among them a video iPod, desktop computer, and Nintendo Wii.

Speaking of the enticing prizes, Norton said, "The public isn't just helping to make the game better for themselves. They're helping us to make a better product. We wanted to make sure that we thanked them properly."

As part of the contest, the company is offering a free copy of Riddle Me to anyone who submits 25 riddles that get approved in the contest.

The Riddle Me Game

The Riddle Me treasure hunt game helps keep children entertained by activating a child's creativity and problem-solving skills. A parent or guardian can quickly and conveniently print out a series of clues, place them in appropriate locations, and put children to work. The children are then able to easily entertain themselves as they search for each clue.

"The game isn't just designed to help children develop, but it also really gives them a sense of accomplishment as they successfully solve each riddle," Norton said.

About the Contest

Participants in the riddle contest simply choose from a list of hundreds of everyday items that they wish to write a riddle about. Next, they select the difficulty level they think their riddle is appropriate for, then submit it to Living Tree Software. Employees review and judge each submission and either accept or deny it. Participants are allowed to submit as many riddles as they like. The winners will be determined according to the number of accepted riddles they have submitted.
